Activities and expectations:

  • Help represent Nielsen to debt investors, by articulating one of the most exciting stories in media and technology

  • Effectively articulate Nielsen’s financial performance, technology roadmap and strategy in order to provide appropriate transparency and positioning to lenders

  • Coordinate quarterly financial result releases and conference calls, including developing key/critical themes and issues to be presented, working closely with the executive team to communicate strategies, drafting conference call scripts, decks and Q&A materials

  • Manage communications with existing and prospective investors, including phone calls, company visits, non-deal roadshows, and conferences

  • Partner with financial reporting, FP&A, legal, executive team members and private equity sponsor teams on developing consistent, accurate messaging across constituencies

  • Track and provide insights to the executive team on key developments in Nielsen’s lender community

  • Support the development of the cash flow forecast

Competencies/skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, science, or related field with a strong academic record; MBA or equivalent experience preferred

  • 8+ years of experience in finance with prior investor relations experience preferred

  • Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling

  • Ability to develop constructive relationships with executives and colleagues across the organization

  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated work style, attention to detail, effective communicator

  • Experience working in a private equity owned company a plus

  • Position can be hybrid in greater New York area or remote with regular travel to Nielsen’s NY office

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $66,000 - $225,000, which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications, and other business requirements/needs.
