Nielsen Sports is a trusted adviser and partner in sports and entertainment strategy, helping our clients worldwide understand their fan base and ultimately maximise their commercial success. Our custom research projects are wide and varied, from brand health, fan engagement and participation, to sponsorship evaluation.

Our International client portfolio includes a broad range of rights holders, including the IOC, World Athletics, FIFA and the English Premier League, while in Australia we’re the exclusive research supplier to Cricket Australia, Tennis Australia and the Australian Grand Prix Corporation. We work with almost all major sports rights holders in Australia and support major brands with their sponsorship evaluation. These industry-leading brands are typically from the financial services, automotive and FMCG sectors.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end project management of research studies.

  • Support for the Commercial team on project scoping.

  • This includes recommendations for best practice sampling and methodology, along with pricing.

  • Design of questionnaires, data analysis, chart building and insightful report writing with the provision of strategic recommendations.

  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including third party suppliers and our Client Services and Commercial teams.

  • Design and execution of best practice research, which generate actionable insights through high quality and strategic reporting.

  • Client-facing at project kick-offs and debriefs.

  • Various admin tasks such as managing invoicing, supplier agreements and the research pipeline

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years experience managing custom research projects.

  • Solid knowledge of the end-to-end research process.

  • Excellent project management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely, high quality project completion.

  • Superior analytical skillsQ software or similar.

  • Professional at all times and willing to roll up sleeves .

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Presenting skills desirable.

  • Some experience designing technical and commercial proposals from a client brief desirable.

  • Knowledge and/or interest in the business side of sport
