Nielsen is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Leader to join our Panel Product Organization. The primary goals of this position are to ensure quality deliverables across the entire portfolio by driving the planning, definition, and execution of cross-platform test initiatives.

The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced leader with a passion for quality, a change agent who can engage teams and make a difference by bringing quality deliverables to our clients.As a Quality Assurance Leader, you will be directly involved with Technical Product Owners, Agile-Scrum teams, as well as key stakeholders across the entire Panel portfolio to plan, define, and facilitate test activities. The position requires a high degree of expertise in SQA best practices, a strong technical acumen, and proven success in leading teams toward best in class quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leading integration and end-to-end test efforts for large, cross platform initiatives.

  • Facilitating the development of integration and end-to-end test plans ensuring coverage for all required scenarios.

  • Serving as our User Acceptance Test Team’s point of contact by coordinating the User Acceptance hand-off activities, ensuring the UAT team’s testing questions and defects are addressed in a timely manner, and resolving any UAT roadblocks.

  • Ensuring testing meets audit standards and follows the required process.

  • Performing manual tests, as needed, to ensure quality.

  • Managing cross team deployments which includes alignment on timelines, securing required approvals and key stakeholders communication.

  • Ensuring Software Quality Assurance (SQA) best practices are implemented across teams.

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a computer science field OR at least 10 years work experience as a software tester in an IT organization.

  • At least 3 years work experience in test strategy/planning for large, cross platform initiatives.

  • At least 3 years work experience in a SQA leadership role.

  • Strong manual testing proficiency leveraging test management tools such as Zephyr, Selenium, etc.

  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of testing and quality methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques.

  • Prior Agile/Scrum experience.

  • Strong facilitation skills with a demonstrated ability to lead across many cross-functional teams

  • Experience leading test efforts across large cross platform systems with complex integration points.

  • Comfortable working in autonomous, self-directed environments

  • A bias for change and the ability to influence a team toward a culture of quality

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong persuasion, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Able to listen and quickly distill a situation to recommend a course of action in driving project deliverables

  • Strong time management skills.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working with Atlassian tool set

  • Experience working with Google products

  • Experience using query languages such as SQL
